12022019 Mosaic Monday

Happy Monday and hello December. Christmas is fast approaching and before I dig out my decorations. Which are normally done by now. However, my father in law passed away late Wednesday night. So my normal eat and decorate on Thanksgiving didn't happen.
BUT,  I wanted to share a few favorite things around our house.

Top row:
arrow, just because...but if given more thought. An arrow flies in the direction it is pointed. It flies straight and fast unless it is bent. Like us. When pointed in the right direction we fly straight ahead but if we become bent or damaged from life, we tend to crash into the ground.
Believe: You can take this as believe in Santa as it is coming up on Christmas. But for me it is believe. My faith. Believing in the Lord is important to me and I have learned in the last year that I need to believe in myself and my abilities as well.
owl...because besides my kitties, owls and squirrels are my favorite critters.

Middle row:
well there ya go, squirrels!!

Bottom row:
oh my more squirrels! YES I do love them that much. I feed the ones in our yard and have a few that will come when called. That would be Little Girl and Honey. I've written about them before.
The vase I found at a thrift store  but it goes perfectly with the colors in our home.

I'm linking up with Toes in the Water for Mosaic Monday. Hope to see you there.

  1. Dawn - so sorry to hear about your father-in-law. Losing a loved one at the holidays is so difficult, now and usually in the years to come. I admire your sense of humor in your writing, despite the recent challenges. And your arrow analogy is, well, right on target! Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday!

  2. So sorry for your loss at Thanksgiving time :(
You did great describing the arrow and it's use. And, the squirrels are just cute as can be!
