I used to be a crafter, I mean, I was BIG into crafting. I had a room designated just for the purpose of crafting. That was my creative outlet and escape when I needed it. To be honest, it also brought in money. During the holidays I would come up with one idea and make hundreds of that item, sell them and use the money for gifts, food, decorations, more supplies, the electric bill. Whatever was needed.I've only made a few items in the last several years. But this was fun. I saw it on Facebook but have no idea where it originated. OF course I did not make mine exactly like the one I saw, because, well, y'all know I break the rules.
My poor scarecrow might look a little devious that's part of the charm. Right?
All items except the spray paint came from The Dollar Tree.
A pizza pan
a package of wooden clothes pins
a straw hat
I picked out a rose gold shimmer paint, because I liked the look. Sprayed the pan and clothes pins. After they dried, which didn't take long at all. I then clipped the pins around 2/3 of the pan. Splitting the hat and attaching it with hot glue to the top. I SHOULD have put the raffia on first but forgot, so that is why there isn't much there. I wanted to take the hat off and fix it but my husband insisted it had charm just the way it was. Like me, it's a little broken but still lovable. Next hot glued the flowers on and drew/painted on the face.
Not much to it really but it was fun and the mail carrier has commented a few times on cute it is.
Now today is also SSS or Secret Subject Swap...however, I've been stumped as to what to do with this prompt if I'm honest.
Your “Secret Subject” is:
You have to interact with a formerly rich and rude person who has lost everything. How’s that encounter going?
It was submitted by: https://thethreegerbers.
If however I encountered a formerly rich rude person, who now was penniless and homeless I would WANT to say "SEE how does it feel now??" But I wouldn't. I would show them kindness and compassion, praying that they learned their lesson and would become better people.
Please go and visit the other participants of today's prompt. THANK YOU for stopping by.
