Lazy Cinnamon Rolls and SSS

I did this some time ago, on a Sunday morning. I wanted cinnamon rolls but really didn't want to go to all the trouble of rolling out dough. So I cheated. I made "easy or lazy" cinnamon rolls. Technically they aren't rolls more of a cake I guess but oh so delicious!
Lazy/Easy Cinnamon Rolls
2 cups of baking mix (like Bisquick)
1 cup milk
1 TBSP cinnamon
1/3 cup sugar
2 TBSP brown sugar
1 cup powdered sugar
2 TBSP milk
a dash of vanilla
Mix the list of ingredients together and put into a greased pan. I used my pie pan by Le Crueset. I then baked it for 20 minutes on 400 degrees.
Once it was done I allowed it to cool for a few minutes, about 10 actually and poured the glaze on top. Sliced and enjoyed it!!
Welcome to a Secret Subject Swap. This week 12 brave bloggers picked a secret subject for someone else and were assigned a secret subject to interpret in their own style. Today we are all simultaneously divulging our topics and submitting our posts.

If you could run for president what would your platform be about?

There's no way I'm going to do justice to this subject...I have had it for over a week and just can't seem to get anything together. Why? Because being President is the last thing I would ever want to be. I mean seriously, the entire nation rest in your hands. That is why every president looks 20 years older after their term is up. Stress is at an all time high, demands of decisions that effect not just you, your state but your entire, yes entire country. What do I want from a president? Peace. Healthcare, lower taxes, higher wages, a better life for my grandchildren, better care for our elderly and terminally ill, help for our veteran, better schools, higher pay for teacher, but I don't see those things happening without MAJOR changes in our nation. Changes that no one wants.
Example: free health care? Free for who? those who receive it. Well, someone has to pay for. Our government can't unless we the tax payers do. So that would mean higher taxes.
Higher wages would mean higher prices. Companies can't pay the workers more without increasing their prices.
It really is a no win situation.
Peace. We have no control over that. IF we disband our military we are sitting ducks. IF we become peace makers and no one else does, we still lose.
Again, a no win situation.
NO I would not want to be president. Our former ones have screwed us all, all of them in one way or another.
I know everyone has their opinions and most of us do not agree and that is okay.
I will leave this subject and topic and pray no one goes bat crap crazy over my comments. LOL

Read the following and hopefully you'll find lighter subjects!!

  1. I wouldn't want to be president either, but if there's one thing I wish for in the political realm it would be that politicians move their allegiance away from their party and firmly towards what's actually in the best interest of those who elected them.

  2. I can't imagine trying to be president either. The one thing I hope for our leaders is for them to look at and consider multiple perspectives, not just the ones that affect them.

  3. Don't want that job, nope never, not me. But the recipe looks awesome

  4. I wouldn't make it, I inhaled haha!

  5. If you were president you could make easy cinnamon rolls, and BOOOOM, everybody wins!!!
