Bacon Wrapped BBQ Pork Chops and #UYW more Pearl and William

On /26/16
Oh yeah, you read that right! Pork on pork! LOL that's how we get bacon! hahahaaa yeah I crack myself up. honey was out of town and on his way home. He calls Hoover because apparently my phone was not receiving calls, grrr, so he says "ask Dawn what's for dinner" and Hoover says "Hey Dawn, Dad wants to know what's for dinner". I said.."Hmm not sure yet".

A few minutes later I left for my afternoon run, no not a real run as in exercise, a run as in my afternoon driving route. I'm headed down the highway thinking about food. I think about the chicken I love to make, it's easy and delicious. Bacon wrapped chicken tenders wrapped in bacon, cooked in the oven and smeared with bbq sauce the last few minutes. Yum! Then there is the next thought, W is not a fan of chicken except for two ways, hot wings and fried. Honestly, there are so many places that make "good" fried chicken I don't bother. It's messy and takes a while so we eat that out. Next thought, pork chops.Fried, nah too messy. BBQ style but I want them grilled and the wind is gusting at 40 mph. Ohhh, bbq pork chops, there's the thought of the chicken again..OH then it hits me! Light bulb, brilliant moment and I'm like YES, out loud so it was a good thing I was alone on the bus so far, I will make bacon wrapped bbq pork chops! So I send W a text, I'm stopped at a stop light, NOT texting while driving and said "what about bacon wrapped bbq pork chops?"

About an hour later he responds, it's okay he was at work and I didn't expect an immediate response. "sounds great". I'm all excited now! As soon as I drop my last passenger I stop at the store, grab some gorgeous chops and head home. I'm so excited!

Walking in the door the first thing Hoover ask me is "did you decide on dinner yet and can you drive me to my friends house?" Dang kid let me put my purse down will ya. LOL I tell him what I'm planning and he's like "oh dang that sounds good, save me some cause it's my friends birthday and I really want to go". I said okay, when? He says as soon as we can....sigh, so back out the door I go, this time in my car and drop off the kid. Back home I drag out my basket of spices, the broiling pan, a baking sheet, the chops and a clean towel. Now I'm ready!
Just look at these chops! Gorgeous
Seasoned and wrapped
OMGosh and they were juicy, tender and slap yo'momma good! I served them with some sauteed cabbage, rice and steakhouse brown bread. I was so excited about the chops I totally didn't take a photo of anything else! I just might dream about this meal, it may be my lover. Okay I'm getting carried away but seriously they were that good! No lie.
When W had the first bite, he looked at me and said "mmm baby these are really good", that's what I like to hear!
Look at the finished product
Look closer
See that inside! Perfection
fresh cracked pepper
onion powder
Smithfield home style original thick slice bacon
Sweet Baby Ray's Sweet N Spicy BBQ sauce
15 minutes at 400 degrees on the bottom shelf
15 minutes top shelf(drop temp to 350) with sauce rubbed on
flip, smear sauce and bake another 15 minutes. If your chops are thicker you may need more time and of course if they are thinner you need less time. Or you may like yours rare. Mine came out PERFECT!

Today’s post is a writing challenge. This is how it works: participating bloggers picked 4 – 6 words or short phrases for someone else to craft into a post. All words must be used at least once and all the posts will be unique as each writer has received their own set of words. That’s the challenge, here’s a fun twist; no one who’s participating knows who got their words and in what direction the writer will take them. Until now.

At the end of this post you’ll find links to the other blogs featuring this challenge. Check them all out, see what words they got and how they used them.

Your words are:
forewarn ~ reckless ~ discourse ~ meddle ~ switch
They were submitted by:

I will forewarn you, with reckless abandonment I will switch back and forth from Pearl and William to Cindy and Dillion. The kids will meddle, the neighbors will talk, and life will run it's course or discourse depending on the decisions we make.

There I used my words! LOL
After writing so much about what happened and this recipe, I felt you might be tired of reading at this point, so I used my words and will give you an extra long chapter next month. Don't hate!! It's not nice.
