BBQ Bacon Chicken Sliders

I wanted to fix a tasty slider. I see them all the time as appetizers in restaurants and on Pinterest. Here is what I came up with. My husband loved them and of course I did too.

You can eat these for lunch, supper with a nice salad or as an appetizer.

Chicken Sliders
3 large chicken breast
Cut these in half by width and length to give you 4 pieces
Dredge in:
1 cup flour
2 TBSP corn starch
1 tsp fresh cracked black pepper
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder

Using a nonstick skillet, heat 1/4 inch of oil and fry the chicken. Flip when golden brown on one side and cook thoroughly. You don't want raw chicken.
Lay bacon on a baking sheet and bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Do this while you cook the chicken.

Homemade BBQ Sauce
8 oz tomato sauce
2 TBSP brown sugar
1 TBSP molasses
2 tsp apple cider vinegar
2 tsp soy sauce
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 heaping TBSP organic concord jelly
1 1/2 tsp mustard
1/2 tsp chipotle rub seasoning

Simmer in a small sauce pot while you cook the chicken and bacon.

Assembly: bun, chipotle jalapeno mustard, homemade bbq sauce, chicken, bacon;dill pickle, more sauce and  cheese optional
