sausage balls and FOTW

This month's FOTW is not very funny, I haven't seen LMSP and my work schedule has been totally crazy. BUT I have had lots of fun and tons of excitement. Check it out below...

Did you know...
I apologize if you're offended or find this too graphic in description but it was late at night and I found this funnier than it should have been. T LOVES sharing these 'facts' with me... teenagers!

Welcome to a Fly on the Wall group post. Today 12 bloggers are inviting you to catch a glimpse of what you’d see if you were a fly on the wall in our homes. Come on in and buzz around my house.

Buzz around, see what you think, then click on these links for a peek into some other homes:

1 lb bulk hot pork sausage (I use Jimmy Dean)
2 cups bisquick
2 cups sharp cheddar cheese shredded
1/4 cup milk

In a bowl mix the cheese and bisquick well together. Then gradually mix in the sausage. You will do this by hand. Mixing and squishing until it is crumbly. Next add your milk, it will be very sticky. Make balls about the size of walnuts or just scoop a tsp to TBSP size out and drop onto a greased cookie sheet.

bake at 350 degrees for 10-14 minutes

T walks in and says "first off I'd like to thank the sidewalks for keeping me off the streets", we cracked up. This was totally out of the blue. This kid is funny.

T made this in computer class...DON'T send me hate mail!! It's a joke if you look close and know what seitan is. (it is a vegan meat substitute if you do not know)

I've done a lot of traveling this month with my childhood friend Diana. The sunset was taken at Harker's Island.
The top left photo is my kitty Beau laying on our(mine and W) hands...so sweet. The next photo is T "laying" in his bean bag chair.
Under that you see more roses, yes I'm spoiled. Then there is the chicken that W fixed one night because I had to work late and he was off. Yes he cooks AND does laundry!
THEN you see the "like" on instagram...HOOTERS like my hot wing photo!!! YES I was excited.

Football on Sundays...finger food. I have learned to prepare a ton of different things and let the guys graze all day long. Hot wings, sausage balls, meatballs, dip, veggie tray JUST KIDDING that's for me!
Diana and I had the privilege of driving in a parade. We escorted NC Senator Norm Sanderson and his lovely wife Linda. WHAT an amazing opportunity and truly lovely people. I was not living in NC during the last election, well in this area, so I did not vote for him, but you can bet I will next time. LOVE what he believes and stands for. We were not sure what we were getting into when we agreed to this task but at the end were just beside ourselves and overjoyed that we had said yes, had the experience we did and incredible opportunity. Senator Sanderson and his wife both said they have not enjoyed a parade as much as they did that day and asked if they could request us for next year!! We said YES please do! We may even drive them in more than one parade next time!

I've been to see CREED which was really good. I've been to Harker's Island, Beaufort, Minnesott Beach, Raleigh, UNC, Cary, Jacksonville, Maritime Museum, drove in a parade, watched a flotilla FROM the top side of a yacht, and have just been enjoying life. At Harker's Island we found Diana's perfect man! Tall, handsome, muscles, owns a boat and the silent type! LOL
One Friday morning I'm picking up a group of guys for the group home, one of them walks out all smiles, I opened the door and he steps up "HEY Miss Lady! Miss Dawn how you doing?!" I cracked up, see about a month ago this guy was a smart butt and I had to physically grab him and throw him off my bus. Now he is my new best friend. Funny how when you show them who's boss they straighten right up.

Things I have heard while driving the loop at lunch time:
girl on the phone "gurl please, you know that baby daddy done hit that thang up, you need to find a real man, one dat will support yo baby, damn have another one like I did"
man and woman talking "oh hell nawls man, I done kicked his sorry @$$ to da curb, den he got him a job and let him back in" Man said "dat's one way to make him work, kick him out and he gots no where to go, he come draggin back to yous"
two women: 1 "well I heard that Obama's wife is a man"
2 replies "I could see that, she is so muscly and all"
1 "yeah and look at her face and neck, I bet she got boobs and a thang between her legs"
I'm serious! The conversations I hear, I spend most of my time laughing or shaking my head!!

On a festive note: My beautiful Christmas tree!! My honey bought me a "cashmere" tree, lights and ornaments. He picked them all out and brought them to me. I am so in love with this tree. I sit and stare at it at night. What a blessing W is to me!!
Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Holidays and all that good jazz!!
Whatever you celebrate, I hope it is filled with love, laughter, friends, family and the spirit of joy!

  1. Omg, how did you even squeeze all that in in a month!?! Geez, I'm exhausted just reading about it. You are awesome, Miss Lady Dawn! I also request a post strictly of all the craziness you hear on your route because that stuff was epic.
