Best Book Ever - Secret Subject Swap

Wow...how did it get to be July 10th already? Were we not just shopping, wrapping gifts and decorating, then it was Spring and now July? Blink and time flashes!

When I received this SSS prompt, I thought WHAT? I am an AVID reader, a book-a-holic, a library junkie! AND you want me to pick 5 books. Sheez I can't pick just 5. I have so many favorites.
If religious/spiritual books remain, I don't need to list the Bible. All grammar, spelling and text books remain as well. This makes me happy as well.
Now my ALL TIME favorite "series" of books is "Mitford Series" by Jan Karon. There are now a total of 13 books and I have read them 8 times. YES EIGHT times! I love them that much.
My other favorite set is the "Yada Yada" series. And my third favorite series is "the sister chicks".
So I'm saying I'm choosing these sets as 3 of my 5. Probably not following the rules but no surprise there right?
Ladybug Farm is another favorite book. So that's book 4 and for number 5 I choose "The Shack".

Welcome to a Secret Subject Swap. This week 12 brave bloggers picked a secret subject for someone else and were assigned a secret subject to interpret in their own style. Today we are all simultaneously divulging our topics and submitting our posts.

Your “Secret Subject” is: All books must temporarily be removed from the entire world (for approximately six months). All that will remain are religious/spiritual books, grammar and spelling books, school texts books, and five books you choose. They can be any five books. Which five books remain and why? (These five books will be available in every library of the world).

  1. I know, I would have a difficult time picking just 5 books, I would have to choose 5 in each genre...at least. Those those sound like books, I will have to check those books out.

  3. I don't know any of your top five - but once they will be the only ones available I am pretty sure I will come across them!

  4. I never thought I would be a Harry Potter fan, but I recently read through the series so that my kiddo and I can discuss them as he reads them. I was hooked right from the start. I laughed. I cried. I learned. I saw so much in the characters in that series that I want my son to pick up on... I would have to choose that series to stay.

  8. Do you like smut? Try the Crossfire series by Sylvia Day. LOVE IT! I also love the Shifter series by Rachel Vincent and the Demon Hunting Soccer Mom series by Julie Kenner. I'm going to have to check some of these books out you mentioned.

    1. Once upon a time all I read was smut but no longer. I used to be a BIG Jackie Collins fan. LOL
I also like mystery: Phyllis A Whitney books are OLD but so fun.

  9. Can I just leave my Nook as one book, even though it has 200 books on it? I think that's fair.
