SouthernLiving cookbook review: Country Music's GREATEST Eats

Happy July 4th weekend!! I hope you are all safe and enjoying some family time. Sun, family, vacation, food, safety...and for your reading pleasure...

Today I want to share one of Southern Living's newest cookbooks. Country Music's Greatest Eats : Presented by CMT: Showstopping Recipes and Riffs from Country's Biggest Stars: by Tanner Latham. Tanner is a North Carolina native and currently resides in Georgia. So since I grew up on country music IN North Carolina and recently moved to Georgia, you know I had to review this book.

Besides, Southern Living has THE best books on the market. And NO I didn't get paid to say that.

This book is full of country music stars new and old, meaning new stars and those who have been on our radio for longer than some of these folks have been out of diapers.

Lauren Alaina, The Oak Ridge Boys, Scotty McCreery, Wynonna Judd, Florida Georgia Line, Alan Jackson...just to name a few.

They share their favorite recipes, there's a small bio about each artist and tons of great photos.

Of course I loved seeing the photos of Trace Adkins (lawdy now that's a tall drink of water) and Florida Georgia Line (good golly now that's some FINE looking fellas) and taking a peek inside the homes of CMT host and wife of bassist from Rascal Flatts.

You get the history behind the recipe, why the stars love it and request it when they are not on the road.

Recipes like:
Red Wine braised beef short ribs
Grandma's coconut cake
Alan's Philly Cheese Chicken Sandwiches
Hello Dollies
Louisiana Blue Crab Stuffed Catfish Fillets

Just to name a few and peak your interest.
