I have used it to make salad dressing, viniagrettes and there is just a smooth, richness that is hard to explain. But if you have ever purchased a cheap knock off brand that just wasn't up to par, then fixed the 'good' stuff not long after. You know what I mean.
You get what you pay for.
1 pkg yeast
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1 cup warm water
2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
2 TBSP olive oil (*Pompeian Extra Virgin Olive Oil)
1 cup pepperoni diced
1 cup mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
1 cup pizza sauce
- Step 1: place the yeast and sugar in the warm water -allow it to grow ~ 10 minutes
- add the salt and Pompeian olive oil
- add the flour
- allow it to stand ~ 5 minutes
- knead and roll into small balls or strips
- rub your pan with Pompeian Olive Oil
- layer dough, pepperoni, cheese, sauce
- drizzle the top layer with Pompeian Olive Oil
- Bake at 450 degrees F for 15-20 minutes
- Flip onto a plate, slice and enjoy!!
