My Mother's Day was good and bad. I received a new stainless steel deep frying pan from my mom and some whirly gigs for my garden. These help keep the moles out. My husband had his cousin make me a custom kitchen paring knife. Which I LOVE. I love it all. We spent the day with my mom, taking her to her favorite place for lunch and then to Lowe's to purchase flowers for her garden. Then we visited my dad at the nursing home (which was the bad part as he was not doing well at all) and then received word that my aunt was at the ER. She has been told she has lung cancer and it is inoperable. She has had several forms of cancer the last few years and has taken the full amount of chemo and radiation that one can. So now we love her, support her and pray.
If you would like to see one of our favorite desserts and one my mom made when I was growing up, you can read about it HERE.
